Pershing Oaks Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist! Position Details Role: Customer Service Representative Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable and based on experience Schedule: Monday - Friday 3 days a week, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm 1 day a week, 7:30 am - 7:00 pm Lunch every day 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Do you consider cat hair a fashion accessory, and do you introduce yourself to strangers' dogs? Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or educational background.
Ability to provide excellent customer service to all clients
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
Critical thinking - Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Efficiency in utilizing cleaning materials and equipment.
Capability to perform moderately heavy physical tasks, must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Greet, check in, and room patients
Process payments accurately and reconcile the cash drawer daily
Schedule appointments
Communicate with and educate owners
Manage multiple phone lines
Process all types of communication (phone, email, text) from clients, vendors, and other hospitals
Maintain knowledge of preventative healthcare recommendations in order to answer client questions, provide education on vaccines, flea and heartworm products, and assist in marketing veterinary services from which their pet would benefit, such as a dental cleaning, senior wellness, and spay and neuter
Educate clients on products and medications sold, including dietary products, and answer questions regarding product purchase/use
Maintain the front desk/lobby area – must be clean and presentable at all times
Work well with all team members and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.
