About The Position

VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced veterinary assistant to join our growing Supervisor team full-time! We are looking for Day and/or Evening Supervisors. Location: 8610 Harris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311 Compensation: $70,000 to $ 75,000 per year dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Full Veterinary Assistant Skill Utilization
  • Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
  • Coaching associates based on need to aid in their success
  • Facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards, and performance
  • Provide feedback related to associate performance, and collaborate with leadership to develop performance improvement plans
  • Support associates in their careers via VTNE guidance, licensure guidance, and scheduling
  • Maintain skill efficiency and knowledge
  • Create/Manage/Oversee scheduling of treatment team, including veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians
