About The Position

VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced veterinary assistant to join our growing Supervisor team full-time! We are looking for Day and/or Evening Supervisors. Location: 8610 Harris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311 Compensation: $70,000 to $ 75,000 per year dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities. Responsibilities

Full Veterinary Assistant Skill Utilization
Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
Coaching associates based on need to aid in their success
Facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards, and performance
Provide feedback related to associate performance, and collaborate with leadership to develop performance improvement plans
Support associates in their careers via VTNE guidance, licensure guidance, and scheduling
Maintain skill efficiency and knowledge
Create/Manage/Oversee scheduling of treatment team, including veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians
