Veterinary Assistant Supervisor
About The Position
VCA Bakersfield Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced veterinary assistant to join our growing Supervisor team full-time! We are looking for Day and/or Evening Supervisors . Location: 8610 Harris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311 Compensation: $70,000 to $ 75,000 per year dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities. Potential Schedule: Flexible-must be open to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary for the team Do you thrive in an environment that promotes and encourages growth and development? Responsibilities
- Full Veterinary Assistant Skill Utilization
- Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
- Coaching associates based on need to aid in their success
- Facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards, and performance
- Provide feedback related to associate performance, and collaborate with leadership to develop performance improvement plans
- Support associates in their careers via VTNE guidance, licensure guidance, and scheduling
- Maintain skill efficiency and knowledge
- Create/Manage/Oversee scheduling of treatment team, including veterinary assistants and veterinary technicians
