About The Position

As a Program Coordinator for Veterinary Admissions and DVM Student Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of the admissions process and providing general administrative assistance to the DVM Student Services Team and faculty. Your responsibilities will include coordinating events, managing admissions-related activities, supporting outreach and recruitment initiatives, facilitating the DVM Student Ambassador program, and customer service support for applicants. This position further contributes to the overall success of the team by providing administrative support to student services, including scholarships and activities that support students' transition into the DVM program. Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not sponsor a visa for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. May substitute an Associate's Degree and 3 years of directly related experience in addition to the requirements listed below.
  • Previous professional experience in program coordination, admissions support, higher education, or related roles
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrated experience presenting information to a diverse audience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • This position includes a flexible but required after-hours component. During the academic year, the employee will be expected to lead weekly virtual admissions recruiting events and information sessions, typically held in the early evening. These sessions generally occur once per week and last approximately one hour. Occasional additional evening or weekend hours may be required for special events.
