About The Position

The Veteran-Directed Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Veteran-Directed Care (VDC) program at the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging. This role ensures that veterans and their families receive participant-directed services and support to enhance their quality of life. The Supervisor will manage program staff, collaborate with community partners, ensure compliance with program regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Public Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in billing, chart audits, and financial management is required.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, client management systems, and financial software.

Nice To Haves

  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with veterans or in a participant-directed care environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of veterans' benefits, services, and billing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation and administration of the VDC program to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Directly supervise VDC program staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and support for professional development.
  • Ensure veterans and their families receive the support they need to navigate and utilize services effectively.
  • Ensure the program complies with all relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and management of the VDC program budget.
  • Oversee and coordinate the billing processes to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement from funding agencies and partners.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, veterans' organizations, and service providers to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance measures, including conducting chart audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
  • Provide backup coverage for the Person-centered Counselor as needed to ensure continuity of care and service delivery.
  • Participate in community events to market the VDC program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program goals and agency objectives.
