About The Position

Traditions Home Health Services is currently seeking compassionate, skilled, reliable, and experienced Companions and Home Health Aides for the Milton and surrounding areas. The role involves assisting senior clients, primarily Veterans, in their own homes with Activities of daily living, household support, and companionship. The company offers various shifts, including daily 4-hour shifts (e.g., 8am-12pm, 9am-1pm, 10am-2pm, 3pm-7pm, 4pm-8pm) and daily 5-8-hour shifts (e.g., 9am-3pm, 9am-4pm), with additional 4-hour shifts available in Quincy and Dorchester. Requirements

  • Home Health Aide Certification or CNA Certification
  • 2+Years experience working with your Certification
  • Must be kind, compassionate, reliable, and skilled HHA
  • Must have experience working with Dementia
  • Clean driving record, ability to pass a CORI check
  • Current TB test, QuantiFERON Gold Test, or X-ray
  • Dementia care experience
  • Speak, read, write the English language clearly, and effective communication skills
  • Must own a cell phone

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the Activities of Living, personal care
  • Assist with light housekeeping
  • Encourage walking, exercising
  • Encourage stimulating conversation
  • Assist Activities and exercise according to the Care Plan
  • Encourage fluid intake, possible meal prep in accordance with orders/Care Plan
  • Competently document shift activities frequently during the shift digitally using a smartphone
  • Report any concerns to the Traditions Home Health Services Office Support Team in a timely manner
