About The Position

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Vessel Mobilisation Manager to play a pivotal role in coordinating multiple departments to successfully configure vessels and assets so they are fully project-ready. The role is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and well-planned mobilisations that maximise commercial value and ensure vessels are operationally ready for deployment on time and to the required standards. Reporting to the Vessel Mobilisation Lead, the role provides clear visibility of mobilisation progress and proactively escalates risks, issues, or slippages that may impact commercial or project plans. This position is critical to supporting the company’s growth, operational success, and commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience delivering vessel equipment mobilisations or similar marine/offshore projects.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of subsea equipment.
  • Good understanding of marine operations, regulatory compliance, and class requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate and influence across multiple teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with OSM Thome or equivalent vessel management frameworks.
  • Experience managing shipyard contracts and variations.
  • Basic knowledge of project survey operations.
  • Practical experience with office tools such as MS Office, Teams, Email, AutoCAD, and project-planning software.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimise operational workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery Projects Support tendering activities and act as the single source of truth for fleet mobilisation status.
  • Identify and highlight risks to equipment or vessel readiness at an early stage, prior to contract award.
  • Provide mobilisation cost estimates, schedules, and readiness inputs as part of the tendering process.
  • Operational Coordination Serve as the primary liaison between operational teams, service delivery teams, and OSM Thome vessel managers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for engineering requirements, ensuring compliance with flag, class, and company standards.
  • Manage DNV Veracity Alteration projects related to back-deck and vessel modifications.
  • Collate deck plans and detailed scopes of work from engineering and payload teams.
  • Create, manage, and implement Management of Change processes related to mobilisation activities.
  • Support payload operations by ensuring vessels are operationally prepared for deployment.
  • Ensure regulatory, class, and company compliance is maintained throughout mobilisation activities.
  • Yard and Mobilisations Oversight Work with OSM Thome to select suitable yards and develop yard contracts based on defined scopes of work.
  • Build, manage, and oversee mobilisation budgets, tracking costs against forecast.
  • Develop and maintain mobilisation timelines in coordination with the Vessel Planner.
  • Provide day-to-day management, direction, and support to Mobilisation Superintendents.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for Mobilisation Superintendents, supporting issue resolution and decision-making.
  • Oversee mobilisation superintendents and payload teams as the main point of contact between the vessel, yard, and internal teams.
  • Track variations, manage yard contracts, and control change.
  • Ensure quality control of all works and formal acceptance of completed activities.
  • Ensure required documentation is maintained, updated, and issued as required.
  • Safety and Compliance Ensure all mobilisation activities are delivered in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across all operations.
  • Technical Oversight Support the Vessel Operations Lead in vessel inspections to ensure OSM Thome are maintaining vessels in line with company standards.
