We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager who thrives in the world of luxury and creativity! The Venue Sales Manager will drive the top-line financial performance of the venue and whose swagger will positively impact our brand image. Success in this energetic role requires an entrepreneurial, business development go-getter who craves winning at both inbound and outbound sales activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in sales, ideally within the banquet, catering, hospitality, or related industries, or in a similar role within a relevant industry/field.
  • Communicate with excellence and clarity both verbally and in writing
  • Exude creativity, an attitude of optimism, and a desire to deliver positive guest experiences

Responsibilities

  • Conducts outbound sales activities to generate market excitement for our new venue and to book business. Outbound sales activities expectations include: cold calling, cold emailing, social selling, lead generation, and visiting hotels, CVBs, local associations and destination management companies to cultivate referral relationships.
  • Generates, follows through, and closes inbound leads with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Conveys a smile and a service-obsession when communicating via phone, email or text.
  • Effectively sells against the competition with honest communication around strengths and weaknesses.
  • Recognizes and acts on all opportunities to upsell services.
  • Follows up with clients after each event to gain knowledge and feedback and to strengthen the relationship with a potential repeat customer.
  • Creates in-house and industry events to help market and promote the venue.
  • Completes contracts with each customer and vendor to ensure their understanding and compliance.
  • Will possess sound expertise in all systems and equipment in the building.
  • Participates in meetings weekly with ownership to provide updates on leads, bookings, needs, and feedback.
  • Successfully drives and transforms sales, marketing, and brand strategies into tactical and measurable action plans.
  • Leverages industry connections to drive events to the venue and to promote the venue brand.
  • Manages software critical to sales and event bookings.
  • Conducts unforgettable site tours with prospective clients, vendors and industry colleagues.
  • Participates in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Participates in special projects as needed and handles emergency requests and assignments.
