About The Position

At Pax8, we are transforming how cloud technology is delivered and scaled across our ecosystem. Our vendor partners—especially those in our Silver Community—depend on clarity, consistency, and strong relationship management to grow within the Pax8 Marketplace. The Vendor Alliance Manager plays a pivotal role in enabling that growth by owning relationships with a large portfolio of vendors, driving structured community engagement, and ensuring each vendor has what they need to succeed. In this role, you will guide vendors through launch, activation, and ongoing performance improvement. You will bring order and rhythm to a high‑volume environment, identify opportunities for upsell and cross‑sell, and champion vendor needs across Pax8’s cross‑functional teams. This is a relationship‑focused, programmatic, and strategy‑driven role supporting a critical part of our marketplace ecosystem. You will own and scale relationships across a broad portfolio of Silver‑tier vendors, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality programmatic experience. You’ll help vendors understand how to grow on the Pax8 Marketplace, supporting the broader transformation of our Vendor Alliances organization. Your insights will drive vendor revenue, help identify emerging high‑potential partners, and shape the way Pax8 engages with vendors at scale. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, and Support to remove roadblocks and create alignment. You’ll bring structured communication and escalation management to an environment where clarity and consistency are essential.

Requirements

  • Six or more years in account management, vendor development, vendor program management, or similar roles within the technology industry.
  • Experience managing vendor portfolios at scale, ideally through structured or tiered programs.
  • Strong understanding of cloud go‑to‑market strategies and software‑as‑a‑service marketplace dynamics.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships while navigating competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working with metrics, insights, and performance data.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Vendor Development & Community Engagement Manage a portfolio of Silver‑tier vendors using structured, scalable community communications.
  • Support new vendors post‑launch to ensure readiness for profitable growth.
  • Identify upsell, cross‑sell, and net‑new revenue opportunities across the marketplace.
  • Review monthly reporting to uncover growth levers and create action plans.
  • Build Strong, Aligned Vendor Relationships Understand vendor goals, challenges, KPIs, and performance trends.
  • Deliver Quarterly Business Reviews and provide insights on ROI and future opportunities.
  • Ensure vendor content, messaging, and positioning are well represented within Pax8.
  • Drive Vendor Monetization & Enablement Position and communicate Pax8’s go‑to‑market offerings to vendors.
  • Create compelling sales and enablement materials to support vendor growth.
  • Manage Escalations & Promote Operational Excellence Navigate and triage vendor escalations using a clear rhythm of business.
  • Support the adoption of emerging ticketing processes that streamline vendor issue resolution.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional alignment to ensure vendor initiatives move forward clearly and consistently.
