About The Position

The Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic is a full-time, year-round position at Boyne Mountain Resort. The Mechanic role at Boyne Mountain is in a fast-paced, ever changing work environment from day to day. The mechanic is responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of the Boyne Mountain fleet. This includes heavy equipment, snow grooming equipment, trucks, busses, vehicles, snowmobiles, fabrication and repair of miscellaneous small engines. The vehicle maintenance team ensures the safe performance and operation of the fleet, with minimum down-time and emergency repair at the most efficient costs to Boyne Mountain Resort while maintaining a fun, positive work environment. Requirements

You possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive and/or professional training
Have knowledge of all automotive systems including engine, transmission, axle, brake and electronics
Have achieved a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Possess a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Obtained state and or other certifications are highly recommended
Fabrication skills are a bonus

Responsibilities

Performing preventative maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting and repairing jobs associated with the fleet
Assisting with ordering, inventory, parts and supplies for the repair facility’s and fleet
Ability to work in teams and solo to accomplish required tasks
Utilizing an accessible library of service, manuals, parts manuals, supply catalogs and other reference aids associated with the operation of a repair facility
Helping to maintain a comprehensive record system that tracks service, repair, and other needs associated with each vehicle
Maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment
Helping to maintain communication channels to all departments regarding scheduling of repairs and maintenance
Mechanic must provide their own tools
