Master Mechanic-Vehicle Maintenance Department Maintains equipment on a regularly scheduled basis; Responsible for all repairs and orders. Schedules inspections; Maintains current knowledge of updates on vehicles. Picks up parts as necessary; Orders oil and fuel. Writes specifications for equipment purchases; Meets with vendors. Supervises shop operations; Instructs, trains and assists mechanics; Assigns work, ensures standards and priorities are met and checks completed work. Is held accountable for all equipment used and uniforms issued. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
