About The Position

Courtesy Chevrolet, part of the Courtesy Automotive Group, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Acquisition Manager to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners to identify, negotiate, and secure vehicles that align with our quality, performance, and budget requirements. Your primary mission is to ensure the efficient and costeffective acquisition of inventory while upholding the highest standards of service, accuracy, and operational excellence. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, deep automotive industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple acquisition channels in a fastpaced environment.

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of the automotive industry including market trends, vehicle pricing, and dealership operations.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively with dealerships, manufacturers, and vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate vehicle specifications, pricing models, and market data to make informed acquisition decisions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in vehicle specifications, contracts, and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to negotiate deals and prepare reports.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with dealerships, manufacturers, wholesalers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing, incentives, and favorable terms for vehicle purchases, leases, or rentals.
  • Research, evaluate, and source vehicles that meet organizational needs, considering specifications, pricing, availability, reconditioning requirements, and current market trends.
  • Coordinate all logistics related to vehicle transportation, delivery, and inventory intake to ensure timely arrival and efficient processing.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports, forecasts, and performance analyses related to acquisition activities, highlighting trends, KPIs, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Review, assess, and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and industry best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners to expand sourcing opportunities and improve acquisition efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including sales, service, and inventory management—to align acquisition strategies with business goals.
