The Work: We are seeking a hands-on Vault Clinical Lead to support our clinical systems landscape. This role will focus on Vault configuration and release activities, integration support, test/sandbox management, and configuration documentation for eTMF, CTMS, and other Vault Clinical solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong, demonstrable experience with Vault Loader and Vault REST APIs, along with a solid understanding of the Vault Clinical object model and Vault SDK triggers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Veeva Vault (eTMF, CTMS, or other Vault Clinical Solutions) including Vault Loader for bulk data loads, metadata mapping and troubleshooting
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in Vault REST APIs, including authentication, data APIs, error handling, and mapping.
  • Working knowledge of Vault administration (roles/permissions, lifecycles, object types, and document models).
  • Experience with JIRA, and a solid understanding of SDLC and testing concepts in regulated environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
  • Working knowledge of the Vault Clinical object model and relationships.
  • Experience with CTMS data migration, cleanup, reconciliation, and validation strategies.
  • Hands-on MuleSoft experience for API orchestration and data transformation.
  • Experience contributing to IQ/OQ/PQ or other validation documentation in GxP environments.
  • Background in clinical research or life sciences organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Support pre-release assessments, configuration reviews, and release coordination for Vault changes.
  • Maintain configuration artifacts, including Configuration Specifications, Design Specifications, and security/access metrics.
  • Triage, document, and track JIRA issues; perform technical impact analyses and escalate as necessary.
  • Support AMS by troubleshooting and resolving end-user issues, performing root cause analyses, and coordinating fixes with Veeva.
  • Prepare test accounts and assist with sandbox refreshes, snapshots, and test data setup/validation.
  • Participate in review and approval of test cases and integration IQ/OQ artifacts for regulated changes.
  • Lead CTMS data migration cleanup, reconciliation, and validation through advanced reporting and dashboards.
  • Execute Vault Loader operations for bulk data imports/exports, develop mapping templates, and troubleshoot load errors.
  • Support connector and integration implementation tasks (e.g., MuleSoft, SDK triggers).
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Vault REST API integrations, including authentication, error handling, and data transformations.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of Vault environments, including user, role, and permission management; lifecycle configuration; document/folder structures; metadata schemas; and workflows.
  • Create and maintain job aids, configuration change logs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide training and support to clinical and operational users as needed.
