About The Position

The Clinical Lead, under the direction of a provider, works as part of the medical office team performing clinical and clerical duties necessary to meet the goal of providing primary healthcare. Duties include preparing patients for visits, gathering information, assisting providers with procedures, answering the phone, making appointments, preparing medical charts, registering patients, performing laboratory procedures, distribution and/or administration of medications and assisting the medical staff. The Clinical Lead for the clinic will serve as a liaison between the clinic and nursing leadership at OneWorld. The Clinical Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the support staff including scheduling of HA’s, MAs, CCMAs, staff orientation and training, giving feedback for performance appraisals and ensuring smooth clinic flow and the completion of necessary tasks in a timely fashion. The clinical lead will provide support to the Immunization Coordinator as needed. The Clinical Lead will also give feedback to leadership on issues or needs that could impact the clinics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED minimum.
  • Graduate of Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Medical Assistant program and Medication Aide certificate required. AAMA certification, if applicable.
  • Previous health care experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate with warmth and empathy to OneWorld patients and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Flexibility with changing work schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
  • Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in English required for all locations; proficiency in Spanish required or preferred depending on clinic location and need.
