About The Position

Reporting to the Associate Director and working closely with faculty, students, and other offices in the Law School and the University, the incumbent takes a central role in the work of Registration Services (RS), with special responsibility for communications and exam administration. The incumbent ensures professional, timely, and friendly communication between RS and the CLS community while assisting with the administration of midterm and final exams throughout the academic year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent required; advanced degree preferred. Three years of relevant work experience required.
  • Proficiency with standard office software, including programs such as Microsoft Excel required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as is the ability to work effectively and creatively with graduate students and faculty, as well as with administrators in other areas of the University.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently in a high volume/high pressure environment, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously with short deadlines are essential.
  • Some evening work will be necessary during the CLS exam period.
  • Must be able to work with diverse constituencies and support an inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a communication strategy for RS (handbooks, email, newsletters, etc.); coordinates communications with other CLS stakeholders such as OGP; maintains the RS website and reviews opportunities for improvement in consultation with the RS staff and the CLS communications team.
  • Assists the Exams manager in communication with faculty, adjuncts, and their support staff to ensure exams are received on time; assists the Assistant Director of OGP and ODS with management of accommodated student exams; leads the organization of proctored exams once printed; is present for proctor and student questions whenever exams are taking place; takes a lead with exam reconciliation efforts.
  • The VHO Communications and Exams will perform website audits and updates throughout the year and assist colleagues with cross-registration efforts during add/drop periods.
  • Other related duties as assigned
