About The Position

Our Mission Through collaboration and strong community relationships, we are committed to ethical and effective law enforcement, responsible detention facility management, and a responsive communications center that ensures community safety. Job Responsibilities Receive and efficiently direct all incoming calls, including emergency assistance requests. Transmit and receive radio communications with Deputies in the field. Accurately record telephone calls and radio traffic. Dispatch EMS squads and county fire departments as needed. Monitor alarms, security cameras, fire systems, door security, and other safety systems. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records. Training On-the-job training provided.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in operating radio transmitting and receiving equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and classify information effectively.
  • Sound judgment and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and multi-line phone operations.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including holidays, weekends, and overtime.
  • No felony convictions.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License or State ID.
  • Must pass an extensive background investigation, including but not limited to: Monitoring of social media accounts. Review of prior law enforcement interactions. Verification of personal and professional references.
  • Applicants are subject to drug screening.
  • No tattoos above the collar; to include neck and face
  • No tattoos below the wrist line, to include palms, fingers, and tops of hands. (Tattooed marital ring on left ring finger is permitted)
