The Valve Procurement Specialist will be responsible for all procurement activities related to Valves for the Mt. Union, PA location. They will leadsupport the Valve Planner/Inventory Control Assistant in all procurement activities including Inventory Control. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Purchasing, Materials, and IT. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to: Procurement: Research, negotiate, and manage all buying activities. Leadership: Lead and support (Valve Planner/Inventory Control Assistant). Relationships: Build and maintain supplier and internal customer relationships. Valve Procurement - Purchasing: Complete all buying activities for Valves and related products. Logistics: Complete all Export and Import Freight activities including Direct to Customer shipments, communicating delivery schedule with internal customers, as well as reviewing Tariff and Duty preparation. Receiving Activities: LeadSupport Valve Planner/Inventory Control Assistant in verifying Purchase Order Lines with incoming goods (BOLPacking Slips) and complete receiving process within ERP system. Complete this activity for all purchased items. Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for Procurement and Logistics activities related to Valves. Record-keeping and Documentation: Maintain and organize departmental records and files. Other: ForecastBusiness Plan: Complete and analyze to actual the following Monthly Forecasts and Annual Business Plan; Purchases, Receipts, Shipments, and Inventory. Inventory Control: Support Valve Planner/Inventory Control Assistant with the following activities (Job Orders, Receiving, Returned Goods, Inventory Management). Planning: Assist Scheduling and Planning Manager with monthly Advanced Planning System (APS) to ensure proper Inventory and Sales serviceability levels are maintained.
