About The Position

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assemble equipment according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints using hand and power tools and some measuring devices. Checks completed units, ensuring proper alignment of parts and components and notes any need for modification. Conducts or assists in final test to ensure proper operation of parts. Notifies management of malfunctions. Assists in trouble shooting, noting need for corrective action. Conducts hydrostatic tests as required or directed. Grind components as necessary to meet the requirements of individual components. Follow all testing procedures Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to set up and assemble valves
  • Knowledge of shop safety practices.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance as normally acquired through in-house seminars and training.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Above average skills in: Retaining Instruction.
  • Demonstrated ability to: Progressively Assemble.
  • General knowledge of: Mechanical applications and aptitude.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or training – preferred.
