Night Shift Mechanic Trainee
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Assist with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment specific to sand and gravel plant operations. Support troubleshooting of conveyors, crushers, screens, and other mechanical systems under guidance from experienced technicians. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient production flow. Help identify equipment issues and communicate findings to the maintenance team. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Requirements
- Strong interest in developing mechanical skills and learning equipment used in sand and gravel plant operations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely around moving machinery and production equipment.
- Capability to perform physical tasks and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and take initiative in a training-focused role.
- Reliable individual with problem-solving aptitude and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
