As a Value Added Set up Operator at Regal Rexnord Cleveland your focus will be to: Set up to operate CNC Lathe machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines. Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary. Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts and shop orders to plan and check work. Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib, select holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy. Interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to determine proper operation sequences. Make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments. Move completed material to the next workstation. Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
  • 6 months – 1-year related experience or training.
  • Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
  • Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers.
  • Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
  • Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
