About The Position

The Company Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And we're just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. To continue what we've started: Improving human health. We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. We've already changed millions of lives and we're ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. We'll get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though we've come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us. Meet the team: We’re a multi-disciplinary team of user experience, visual, instructional, and industrial designers. We work closely with design operations, user researchers, and design technology engineers. We create products that have a true impact on the lives of millions of people around the globe. We’re passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We build delightful and accessible products that display data and insights across multiple platforms. We follow the principles of user-centric design thinking to make data meaningful and actionable for our users. With this role, you’ll be part of the team focused on our over-the-counter Consumer biosensor products. You’ll design solutions that help users manage their health through data and insights. This includes glucose readings and related metabolic health information (nutrition, activity, sleep, etc.). You’ll work with a variety of stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, and Medical Affairs from design concept to approvals and delivery. Where you come in: You’ll deliver designs focused on the consumer health market that help users and healthcare providers achieve better health outcomes. Advocate for our users. Represent the voice of users, healthcare providers, and others who support them. Your design work will evolve from early stage concepting to low resolution wireframes to high resolution screens and flows. Designs will be made with leverage and re-use in mind. You’ll contribute to monitoring activities of the diabetes, nutrition, fitness, health and wellness, and adjacent spaces. You’ll become familiar with the competitive landscape, trends, and the approaches within the consumer health sector. You’ll work with your manager and stakeholders to understand business priorities, define problem statements, requirements, and user needs. You’ll work with your manager and Design Operations to establish and refine project plans, schedules, and deliverables. You’ll work with your manager to plan and support research and testing activities. You’ll collaborate with our User Research and Human Factors teams. You’ll help synthesize research and testing to inform the designs, gather data to support your point of view, and work with your manager to define next steps. You’ll help run effective presentations to cross functional teams and management. Communicate the problem, the opportunity, and the design recommendations. You’ll work with your manager to align with Medical Affairs, Human Factors, Regulatory, and Quality team inputs to ensure compliance with business requirements and the effective mitigation of risks. You’ll work to foster a culture of support, continuous improvement, and design excellence within the team and all those who partner with us. Be positive and solutions oriented. Build up our teams, departments, and company through words and actions. Learn from existing members of the team and mentor your colleagues. You’ll be a design diplomat.
