About The Position
The Education Intern will be mentored by PBS educators to gain practical, hands-on experience in education and non-profit collaboration to support parents, educators, and children. Recognized as one of the leading public television stations in the country, PBS Utah is committed to serving the Utah community through diverse local productions, preschool-grade 12 educational programs, and community engagement. PBS Utah works to provide the people of Utah and surrounding areas with relevant programming and services while upholding core values of integrity, fairness, independence, education, and innovation.
Requirements
- Must be a University of Utah student.
- Students can be from any major.
Responsibilities
- Assist and execute PBS Utah and PBS KIDS Utah educational programs, annual initiatives, and events, in collaboration with PBS Utah’s Education Program Manager and Education Coordinator.
- Assist with the PBS KIDS Utah blog, newsletter, Reading Marathon, Writers & Illustrators Contest, in-person and virtual events, educator trainings statewide, PBS LearningMedia, Reading Marathon Kickoff Party and rural Mini-Grant program, book distribution, and grant specific curriculum and programs.
