About The Position

The Student Office Assistant will support the David Eccles School of Business Office of Alumni Relations and Development with a variety of administrative tasks. This role enhances the university's engagement with students, alumni, and donors and offers an excellent opportunity for a student to gain valuable experience in event planning, office administration, and the inner workings of higher education fundraising and alumni relations.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student currently enrolled at the University of Utah
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support, including welcoming guests, managing mail, performing clerical duties, and maintaining databases
  • Assist with the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of alumni and university events
  • Coordinate with internal departments on logistics and communications
  • Engage professionally with students, alumni, and donors
  • Prepare and send correspondence and materials to alumni and donors
  • Update and maintain alumni and donor records with accuracy
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned
