About The Position

Primary responsibilities for the Utility Operator will involve maintaining various aspects of the buildings and grounds, including facility maintenance, grounds care, waste removal, and winter salting/snow shoveling. Additionally, the role includes secondary responsibilities related to pest control, such as working with contractors during onsite inspections and service.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to operate a forklift and power walker is required.
  • A good mechanical aptitude is required.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to perform a wide variety of tasks quickly and efficiently is preferred.
  • Good communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all OSHA, cGMP, and company policies in performance of all tasks.
  • During Winter and early Spring months, the highest priority will be ensuring walkways and parking lots are maintained in a safe condition. This includes salting, shoveling and plowing to supplement the contractors.
  • Supplements contractor with the lawn, landscaping and other groundskeeping activities.
  • Ensures that the tractor, lawn care and snow/ice removal equipment are kept in good operational condition. This includes performing preventive maintenance.
  • Ensures that the grounds are maintained in a clean and professional manner.
  • Renovates the buildings through small facility improvement projects. Some tasks included with these projects are installation of drywall, ceiling tiles, and floor tiles.
  • Paints walls, doorframes, etc. as needed or requested.
  • Initiates purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Assists other facility services personnel in preparation for special events or in the event of absences.
  • Assists with setting up cables/wires related to telecommunication or computer projects.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned, facility related PM’s.
  • Responsibilities associated with escorting the pest control contractor during inspections and service.
  • Assists with other pest control duties as assigned.
  • Assures good documentation practices are followed for all reports.
  • Initiate, complete and close Change Controls in Trackwise.
