About The Position

Miscellaneous labor associates perform assigned duties to help meet operational requirements. Miscellaneous labor associates report to the production supervisor for the shift to which they are assigned. Miscellaneous labor associates also follow the direction of the equipment operator when they are assigned to a machine crew.

Requirements

The ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation
The ability to read, write, and speak English
The ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler
The ability to use basic shop math
The ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team

Responsibilities

following all safety rules and practices
reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements
identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders
performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met
assisting other associates as needed
accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment
inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications
identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials
accurately completing time sheets, reports, lists, and other records
keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations
maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping
maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates
performing other duties as assigned by supervision
