About The Position

This is a full-time entry level Utility Operator position for new manufacturing associates. The role involves performing assigned duties to ensure production needs are met, assisting other associates, and maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping. Key responsibilities include monitoring and operating the waste water system, cleaning the filter press, monitoring the starch kitchen and operations, and managing inventory and waste water chemicals. The position requires adherence to all safety rules and practices, reading factory work orders, identifying stock, accurately using measurement equipment, and inspecting products. Requirements

  • The ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Following all safety rules and practices
  • reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer
  • identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders
  • performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met
  • assisting other associates as needed
  • monitor and operate waste water system
  • clean out filter press for waste water system
  • monitor the starch kitchen and operations
  • monitor inventory and waste water chemicals
  • accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment
  • inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications
  • identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials
  • keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations
  • maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping
  • maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervision
