This position will perform light maintenance work and unload tankers safely to transfer bulk chemicals from tank trailers to storage tanks using pumps, hoses, and valves. Requirements

  • Must have some common knowledge of safety requirements (OSHA standards)
  • Basic computer and writing skills are required in the completion of daily maintenance records
  • Basic verbal communication skills (in English) are required to transfer or interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Ability to wear PPE including respirators, dust masks, eye protection, and safety toe shoe
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) and criminal background screening
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tasks

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work at various heights to ensure proper unloading of tanker trucks containing filler
  • Operate necessary equipment to unload filler tankers efficiently monitoring flow to prevent leaks/overfills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) to track filler quantities
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools to perform minor maintenance tasks
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained according to OSHA standards and follows LOTO and other safety procedures
  • As directed, carry out any other tasks as assigned
  • Maintain clean work area and orderly manner
