About The Position

This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire Utility Operator position located in Turners Falls, MA. The initial temporary schedule is Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm. Upon becoming permanent, the schedule will shift to rotating 12-hour shifts, either 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am. The primary responsibilities include operating and monitoring machinery and equipment, performing routine inspections and maintenance on utility systems, troubleshooting operational issues, maintaining accurate logs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role also involves assisting with facility upkeep, collaborating with team members, and participating in training. Candidates should possess basic mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and prior experience in utility operation or manufacturing is considered a plus. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for up to 3 hours at a time. All applicants must pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety.
