Utilities Foreman
About The Position
Responsible for contributing to the safe completion of PLI earthwork and civil utility projects Operate compact and heavy equipment as required to complete a wide range of projects, including; excavator, dozer, scraper tractor & pans, motor grader, mini excavator, compact track loaders, skid steers, roller compactors, etc. PLI uses Topcon mm/GPS machine controls for finish grading and efficiency. Working efficiently and in the professional manner expected by PLI Ability to contribute to a safe jobsite yet still meet production goals. Read and interpret survey information, plans, specifications and shop drawings Experience with GPS layout and data collectors is a plus but we will train you if you're willing to learn. Coordinate with material suppliers as needed or dictated by the project. Properly communicate with all project members and create an attitude of teamwork on the jobsites. Foreman will be responsible for time tracking of self-performance labor crews and equipment and cost coding of invoices and deliveries Manage manpower and equipment resources efficiently over multiple ongoing projects and in communication with peers and other parts of the business.
Requirements
- Experience running a crew of 3 to 10 workers of various skills and disciplines.
- Must be skilled with overseeing earthwork projects and have relevant project history.
- Must have a great attitude and be willing to work hard and set the example for his/her crew.
- Kansas Drivers License required, Class A CDL with Combined Vehicle and Air Brake endorsements is preferred
- Pass a background check, pre-employment and random drug testing

- Experience with concrete and site utilities is a big plus!
- Experience with GPS layout and data collectors is a plus
- Enjoys making work fun for his/her crew and subcontractors
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a big plus!
