About The Position

The Utility Coordinator supports the Utilities function by assisting in the development, set up, and execution of utility shutdowns, startups, and maintenance. This position will participate in the review of project plans, as well as close out review to ensure acceptable project delivery. This role will assist in the set up and timely execution of electrical load studies, and installation of meters associated with gathering required information. The Utility Coordinator may work a flexible schedule and may be on call to support after hours and or unscheduled utility activities and outages. Further responsibilities will include escorting contractors and stakeholders involved in utility related activity and ensuring documentation of training programs being delivered through the Utility Management function.

Requirements

  • HSD/GED
  • 5 years of Industrial electrical experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Master Electricians License
  • Security Identification Display Area Clearance (SIDA)
  • Customs Hologram for access to Flight Information Services (FIS)
  • Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)
  • Airfield Driving
  • Use of a variety of computer-based technologies including word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Reading and understanding blueprints, one-line diagrams, and electrical plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups.
  • Kentucky State Electrical Code.
  • NEC and NFPA.
  • Wide variety of hand and power tools.
  • OSHA Standards, Airfield and FAA Regulations.
  • Electrical Safe Work Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of utilities including, but not limited to, water, gas, electric, data, storm, sanitary, and irrigation.
  • Project review for new utility systems on an as needed basis.
  • Installation and management of temporary meters and load studies.
  • Assist with utility locates, following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Plans and works with CVG AA electricians on non-destructive testing activity.
  • Assists in management of utility repairs by internal, contractor and utility providers.
  • Provide after hours and on-call support for scheduled and unscheduled utility related activity.
  • Specific position assignments will vary based on department needs.
  • Manages assigned work orders.
  • Assists with planning and execution of all utility shut down activities.
  • Prepares reports and documentation of utility locations.
  • Collaborates with construction and excavation teams to prevent utility damage.
  • Provide training to CVG AA electricians on safe work practices.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
