About The Position

Mosaic Auto Group is seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle operations. The ideal candidate will have strong automotive experience, excellent market awareness, and the ability to drive performance through effective inventory and reconditioning management. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the used car department across Mosaic Auto Group standards, including acquisition, appraisals, pricing, merchandising, and sales strategies. Maximize inventory turn , ensuring vehicles are evaluated, priced, and marketed effectively to achieve monthly turn and profitability objectives. Utilize deep understanding of market values, pricing tools, and industry trends to keep inventory competitively positioned. Oversee and streamline the reconditioning flow , coordinating with service and detail teams to ensure timely, cost-efficient vehicle readiness. Monitor inventory aging and implement corrective actions to maintain a healthy and profitable inventory mix. Build and maintain strong working relationships with auctions, wholesalers, and other sourcing partners. Train, mentor, and support the sales team in all aspects of the used car business. Ensure compliance with Mosaic Auto Group processes, documentation standards, and customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in used car management or automotive sales management.
  • Strong working knowledge of used vehicle operations including acquisition, appraisal, pricing strategy, and merchandising.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn inventory efficiently while maximizing gross profit.
  • Proficient understanding of market values and valuation tools (e.g., vAuto or similar systems).
  • Solid knowledge of reconditioning processes , workflow management, and cost control.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automotive DMS/CRM tools preferred.
