About The Position

USAF E-7 Experienced Electrical Design Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization has an exciting opportunity for a USAF E-7 Experienced Electrical Design Engineer in support of the USAF E-7 program’s Mission Systems Lab Integration team in Tukwila, WA. Objectives of the USAF E-7 program are to build and deliver two rapid prototype E-7 aircraft and associated Airborne Mission Segment and Mission Support Segment lab infrastructure include upgrade of major airborne and ground-based systems. The US-based team is managed by Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C), a unit of Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B), the E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable command-and-control system. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5+ years of experience with 3D CAD modeling.
  • Willing to work weekends on a rotating schedule.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Design systems integration laboratories (SIL).
  • Coordinate changes within SIL.
  • Develop, maintain, and release interface control drawings, electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs, or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry, and governmental standards.
  • Create, develop, and maintain systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs, and assisting in identifying design discrepancies.
  • Support engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
  • Perform electrical and electronic modifications to wiring and tactical hardware as well as hardware replacement and maintenance held within un-configured SILs.
