About The Position

This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of qPCR and NGS and microbiology, influencing how PCR-based syndromic panels and advanced sequencing technologies are developed, deployed, and adopted across healthcare, public health, and biotech markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Genomics, or related field
  • 3–8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles within:
  • NGS, qPCR, PCR
  • Molecular biology
  • Microbiology or infectious disease solutions
  • Proven experience managing complex, long sales cycles
  • Strong ability to communicate with both scientific and executive stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling:
  • NGS/qPCR/PCR instruments, assays, kits, or sequencing services
  • Microbiology, pathogen surveillance, or molecular testing
  • MBA or commercial training is a plus, but scientific credibility is essential

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition for qPCR and NGS‑based microbiology solutions
  • Own and manage the sales pipeline from lead qualification through deal closure
  • Deliver against quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision‑makers (lab directors, public health leaders, procurement, R&D leadership)
  • Lead high‑level scientific and commercial discussions
  • Identify and develop new market segments, strategic partnerships, and distribution opportunities
  • Support tender responses, contracting discussions, and pricing strategy
  • Provide structured market feedback to product management and leadership teams
  • Coordinate with Applications, Product, Marketing, and R&D teams to align customer needs with offerings
  • Influence go‑to‑market strategy without direct people management responsibility
  • Act as the commercial voice of the customer internally
  • Track competitive activity, emerging technologies, and regulatory trends affecting qPCR and NGS microbiology
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and key customer meetings
