About The Position

We are looking for PharmD students with either a completed bachelor's degree or in year 4 or 5 of an accelerated program for a 10-week internship role at our Alexion: AstraZeneca Rare Disease site in Boston, MA from June 1 2026 to August 07 2026. Position Description: Understanding the scientific platforms & medical strategy plans for assigned therapeutic areas Participating and presenting at Medical Excellence team meetings Assisting in the creation and approval of field resources (e.g. slide decks, infographics) Supporting scientific publications development and approval Preparing scientific congress abstracts, posters, booths, and post congress summaries Designing and executing training for field-based medical affairs teams Supporting the refresh of medical review training materials (slides, job aids, short videos) and helping to schedule/coordinate training sessions for stakeholders Participating in internal process mapping, pain-point identification, and small improvement experiments; capturing requirements for minor system or workflow enhancements Position Requirements: PharmD students with either a completed bachelor's degree or in year 4 or 5 of an accelerated program interested in industry work. Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2026. Demonstrated leadership experience within prior work, professional organizations, and/or campus experience is preferred. Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design. US Work Authorization is required at time of application. Ability to report onsite to the Seaport neighborhood of Boston, MA site 3-5 days per week. This role will not provide relocation assistance. Compensation range: $40-42 per hour Compensation Pay Range: The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position is outlined above. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
