We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PharmD candidate for our Medical Communications Internship program. This internship will run for 8-10 weeks between June and August 2026 and weekly schedule of 32 hours per week, Monday-Thursday. This role offers an immersive experience in the fast-paced world of a medical communications agency, providing a unique opportunity to apply clinical knowledge and scientific acumen to real-world projects. The intern will support both medical affairs and commercial teams, contributing to a wide range of publication and medical communication deliverables. This position is ideal for a student passionate about translating complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and engaging content for healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders. The PharmD Intern will be integral to our project teams, providing support across several key areas: Medical Content Development & Scientific Analysis Scientific Research & Support: Conduct comprehensive literature searches (e.g., PubMed, Embase) to gather, analyze, and synthesize clinical and scientific data to support project objectives. Content Creation: Assist in the development and writing of medical content for a variety of deliverables, including but not limited to: Publication-related materials (abstracts, posters, manuscripts) Medical communication tools (slide decks, training materials, HCP videos) Data Verification & Quality Control: Perform rigorous quality control checks on scientific content, verifying the accuracy of data and ensuring alignment between source materials and final deliverables. Strategic Input: Contribute to team discussions by providing a clinical perspective, helping to shape the project narrative and ensure the strategic objectives are met with scientific integrity. Project Management & Execution Project Coordination: Proactively assist with the movement and tracking of assigned projects, coordinating with internal team members to maintain project timelines and action lists. Status Reporting: Update internal and client-facing status reports by assimilating details from team communications and project developments. Compliance & Best Practices: Adhere to Lumanity and client standard operating procedures. Develop an awareness of and apply the principles of Good Publication Practice (GPP). Administrative Support: Ensure all project-related communications and documents are appropriately saved and organized on the shared drive. Professional Development & Communication Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly and effectively with internal team members (e.g., medical writers, account managers, designers) to ensure seamless project execution. External Communication: As directed, communicate proactively with external parties, such as authors, faculty, and other experts, in a manner consistent with our agency's high standards of client service. Internship Capstone Project: Develop and own an overarching master project from concept to delivery, culminating in two presentations to a leadership committee, showcasing the skills and knowledge acquired during the internship. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support account and agency needs.
