About The Position

The US Contracted Deployment Lead is a critical CFC Excellence role within the US IC & CFC Delivery team, responsible for shaping and scaling contracted flexible resource solutions that drive performance, engagement, and operational efficiency across US Commercial and Medical organizations. This role leads the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of Contract Service Provider (CSP) programs , overseeing a portfolio of up to $130M and supporting 500+ contracted Customer-Facing Colleagues (CFCs) across Pfizer US. The Contracted Deployment Lead serves as a strategic partner to the business—identifying where flexible deployment models can accelerate growth, close capability gaps, and enable disciplined experimentation across the product lifecycle. Accountable for end-to-end governance of CSP engagements , this role works closely with Procurement, Sales and Marketing Leadership, Legal & Compliance, Technology, and Sales Operations to evolve policies, processes, and operating models for contract sales and medical assets. Success in this role requires strong strategic judgment, operational rigor, and the ability to quickly build credibility and influence across senior stakeholders to accelerate adoption of this high‑value service category.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of xperience.
  • Previous commercial and/or sales leadership experience with increasing strategic and/or managerial responsibilities
  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales with experience in a promoted position and/or developmental role with demonstrated leadership across peer and manager groups.
  • Proven track record of developing strategic concepts and delivering strong tactical results.
  • Strong ability to drive collaboration and foster highly productive, functional relationships.
  • Illustrate success in partnering with senior commercial leaders who have P&L responsibilities.
  • Understand the impact of evolving customer and market landscapes on the role of field forces and the changes required to remain competitive.
  • Illustrate ability to develop and motivate others in a matrix environment, to lead through change, and to deliver on Pfizer business imperatives.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, CoPilot AI).
  • English language fluency; very strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Documented experiences leading crucial conversations and building credibility.

Nice To Haves

  • M aster's degree with at least 7+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience.
  • Deep understanding of contract development and the development of Service Level Agreements in support of category.
  • Experience working with Contract Service Providers/flexible resources preferred.
  • Understanding Pfizer’s current operational platforms supporting customer-facing colleagues, including sub-systems.

Responsibilities

  • Service Category Acceleration Clearly articulate the strategic value of CSPs and the Contracted Deployment Model, driving awareness, adoption, and sustained use across commercial stakeholders.
  • Serve as a consultative partner on flexible commercial solutions, advising on contract sales concepts and best‑fit models aligned to market and brand needs.
  • Partner with Marketing and Commercial Enablement teams to identify opportunities where flexible resources can close gaps, extend promotional reach, and enable low‑risk experimentation.
  • Leverage data and customer insights to identify regional and business opportunities for contracted resources, supported by ongoing performance measurement and analysis.
  • Operational Delivery & Orchestration Lead the evolution and continuous improvement of contracted service programs to enhance operational capability, speed, and customer experience.
  • Orchestrate cross‑functional execution across Pfizer to ensure seamless deployment and operational success of each engagement.
  • Own communications to contracted CFCs, including guidance updates, process changes, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain job aids, user guides, and standardized materials supporting CSP programs.
  • Drive standardization and optimization of tools, processes, and support models to balance cost, quality, agility, and scalability.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day CSP engagement operations, including training compliance, adverse event readiness, and accurate data flows.
  • Contract and Vendor Management Lead strategic relationships with approved CSP vendors, managing statements of work, negotiations, and purchase orders in alignment with Global Procurement and corporate policies.
  • Partner with BU Finance to manage and track significant CSP budgets across in‑market programs.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to demonstrate business impact, revenue contribution, and operational efficiency of CSP engagements.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure full adherence to Pfizer policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish KPIs to illustrate revenue impact and operational efficiency on contract sales/medical engagements
  • Monitor vendor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and lead remediation efforts as needed.
  • Serve as sponsor for CSP personnel within Pfizer’s identity management systems (e.g., GetAccess).
  • Coach commercial and medical leaders, contracted CFCs, and operational partners on CSP services and their role in enabling compliant, high‑quality customer interactions.
