About The Position

Job Title: Urologist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Morgantown, WV Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: 05/15/2026 – Ongoing (specific weekend coverage dates listed below) Clinical Shift Schedule: Not Applicable On -Call Shift Schedule: Friday 7:00a – Monday 7:00a Call Type: 24 -hour call coverage COVERAGE DATES March 27 – March 30 April 10 – April 13 May 8 – May 11 July 3 – July 6 September 18 – September 21 November 20 – November 23 December 4 – December 7 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult patients (18+) Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 1–2 consults on Fridays; 5–10 consults per day on weekends Admissions: Possible admissions depending on consult findings Rounding: As required for consults and admitted patients Phone Consults: Possible during on -call coverage Case Mix: General urology including stones, stent placements, and clot evacuation FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level IV EMR System: Cerner Office Equipment Available: Standard hospital surgical and diagnostic equipment Specialty Backup Available: Hospital surgical and medical staff Support Staff Available: Limited support staff during weekends Reason for Coverage: Supplemental weekend call coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Call Coverage: 24 -hour weekend call coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES General urology procedures Ureteral stent placement Management of kidney stones Clot evacuation procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active West Virginia Medical License or eligible for WV temporary license (IMLC accepted) Board: Board Certification in Urology required DEA: Active DEA required Certifications: BLS and ACLS preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years of urology experience preferred Other Qualifications: Ability to provide independent weekend call coverage DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide weekend urology call coverage for hospital consults and emergency cases Evaluate and manage urologic consults from the emergency department and inpatient units Perform urgent urologic procedures when indicated Coordinate care with hospital staff and consulting services Document all patient encounters and procedures in Cerner EMR

Requirements

  • Active West Virginia Medical License or eligible for WV temporary license (IMLC accepted)
  • Board Certification in Urology required
  • Active DEA required
  • Minimum 2 years of urology experience preferred
  • Ability to provide independent weekend call coverage

  • BLS and ACLS preferred
