JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Urologist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Cottonwood, AZ • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: May 20, 2026 – May 25, 2026 • Clinical Shift Schedule: 8a–5p with 1 hour lunch • On-Call Shift Schedule: Night beeper call - 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM (May 20 – May 22) - 24-hour call coverage (May 23 – May 25) • Call Type: Beeper • Call Ratio: 1:1 COVERAGE DATES • May 20, 2026 - 8a–5p clinic with night beeper call 5p–8a • May 21, 2026 - 8a-5p clinic with night beeper call 5p-8a • May 22, 2026 - 8a-5p clinic with night beeper call 5p-8a • May 23, 2026 - 24-hour call coverage (8a-8a) • May 24, 2026 - 24-hour call coverage (8a-8a) • May 25, 2026 - 24-hour call coverage (8a-8a) PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 20 patients per day in clinic • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Included • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: General urology including clinic procedures and surgical cases FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 99 hospital beds • Trauma Level: Adult Level IV • EMR System: Cerner • Office Equipment Available: Disposable flexible cystoscopes and standard urology equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Available through hospital service lines • Support Staff Available: 1 Physician Assistant and medical assistants • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: TBD • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 30 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per contract terms REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General urology procedures • Surgical urology procedures in the operating room • In-clinic procedures including vasectomy (infant circumcision optional) JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Arizona medical license or IMLC eligibility • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology • DEA: Active DEA Certification required • Certifications: Facility-required vaccinations (COVID-19 and Influenza) or approved exemption • Experience: Minimum 1 year of urology practice experience • Other Qualifications: Experience with Cerner EMR preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide outpatient urology clinic coverage and inpatient consultation as required • Perform urologic surgical procedures in the operating room • Manage approximately 20 patients per clinic day • Coordinate care with hospital staff, physician assistant, and support personnel • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the Cerner EMR
