The Faculty Physician delivers quality medical care to patients in a clinical setting and assists management in developing policies and procedures related to patient needs.

Requirements

  • Licensed M.D. or D.O.
  • Board eligible
  • High level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal, necessary to effectively communicate, establish, and maintain productive working relationships with people inside and outside the Department and/or Practice
  • Excellent analytical ability necessary to independently identify and resolve extremely complex and unusual problems or discrepancies
  • Clinical knowledge to meet the medical requirements relating to various procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, personnel and/or financial data
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and manage time
  • Patient management skills necessary to provide quality care
  • Compliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Have started their primary vaccination series against COVID-19 or received a sincerely held religious belief or medical exemption
  • Received their first vaccination dose prior to their start date of employment and completed primary series as outlined in FDA’s prescribing instruction for vaccine administration
  • Receive their booster within 30 days after the date that they are eligible to receive it, per CDC guidelines
  • If approved exemption, have weekly PCR COVID-19 testing on their own time and submit the results every Monday, before arriving at work

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality treatment to all patients in a professional manner
  • Participate in the teaching/training program(s)
  • Communicate with administrators, and Physicians to facilitate practice operations
  • Participate in team effort to guarantee efficient services to patients
  • Conforms to the ethical code of conduct of his/her professional organization, to the Wayne Health Corporate Compliance Program and all standards of the Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and to clinic policies and procedures
  • Maintains a current professional license, professional liability insurance at limits required by Wayne Health Credentialing as applicable
  • Attend meetings and training as requested including participation in mandatory annual Wayne Health training in such areas as: recipient rights, confidentiality, corporate compliance, prevention of violence and management of unsafe behaviors, and cultural competence
  • Participates in professional development activities and keeps current with healthcare trends and practices
  • Obeys confidentiality as required by all federal, state, regulatory and Wayne Health policies
  • Perform related duties as assigned
