JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Urology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Gettysburg, PA • Service Setting: Hospital / Outpatient Clinic / OR • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call (Daytime Only) • Coverage Period: May 11, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM • On-Call Shift Schedule: Daytime call only; no nights or weekends • Call Type: Daytime Call COVERAGE DATES • May 11–15 (daytime call) • May 26–29 • June 1–5 (daytime call) • June 8–12 • June 29 – July 2 • July 6–10 (2 providers: call + clinic/OR split) • August 3–7 • August 17–21 (2 providers) • August 31 – September 4 • September 8–11 • September 14–18 (2 providers) • September 21–25 (2 providers) • September 28 – October 2 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults (no pediatrics) • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 40–70 patients per day • Admissions: Included • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: General urology including clinic visits, procedures, OR cases, and hospital rounds FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 73 Hospital Beds • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: 9 exam rooms, 3 procedure rooms; modern clinic setup • Support Staff Available: 3 MAs, 1 LPN, surgical scheduler, 3 front office staff, practice manager • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (with clean file) • Credentialing Timeline: Less than 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not Specified REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General urology procedures • Office-based procedures • Surgical urology cases
Requirements
- Active PA license required or willingness to obtain
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- DEA: Required (PA)
- Minimum 5 years of urology experience
- Strong clinical efficiency and ability to manage high patient volume
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient, inpatient, and surgical urology care
- Perform clinic evaluations, procedures, and OR cases
- Participate in daytime call coverage (no nights/weekends)
- Collaborate with clinical and surgical staff
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
