• Associate degree preferred
• 2 years related work experience in a healthcare setting or customer service setting preferred
• Effective verbal and/or written communications skills highly desired
• Excellent communications and organization skills highly desired
• Demonstrated experience with PC and office programs including, but not limited to, database management, spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software highly desired

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Patient Care. Provide training and mentoring to new team members; promote participation in organizational activities; greet visitors, patients and team members entering unit; provide escorts to other areas when needed; monitor and maintain nurse call system; respond to patient’s call for service as needed; daily rounding of patients on unit, update whiteboards, survey rooms for potential harm and ensure safety measures are in place
• Organization & Management. Responsible for administrative duties as assigned by Unit Nursing Leadership; organize the day-to-day operations of the unit; maintain patient flow for unit by verifying daily census and updating in Care Connect; answer telephone, routes calls and provide administrative support for nurses and physicians; maintain appropriate inventory and supply levels determined by unit
• Documentation. Create work orders, HELPSTAR tickets and report any unit needs to appropriate department; complete scanning of patient’s documentation in a timely manner; complete End of Life process, including documentation and notifications
