About The Position

MUST HAVE GLASS PLANT MANUFACUTIRNG MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE for this position. As a Unit Plant Manager for O-I you will manage the total operation of the production lines of an assigned furnace on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis through the line management system and continuous shift operation to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters. The Unit Plant Manager will: Drive the plant furnace to achieve the key performance goals (Safety, Quality, Total Best Cost, Productivity, and Flexibility) Promote a Manufacturing Excellence culture that and continuous improvement. Conducting production meetings and sponsor morning TPC meetings Leading and managing projects including upcoming furnace work and rebuild Successfully meet plant KPI’s

Requirements

  • Proven management and continuous improvement skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and supports employee engagement
  • Coaching & mentoring skills and the ability to handle personnel issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Adequate knowledge of informational systems & ability to analyze data
  • Experience working in the Glass Manufacturing Industry
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Glass industry experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Production or Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines.
  • Experience supervising/leading people and processes in manufacturing
