Requirements

  • Experienced: 15+ years of experience leading a manufacturing operation—preferably in metal fabrication—with 10 years of leadership and strong working knowledge of CNC sheet-metal processes.
  • Strong Communicator: Uses clear communication, solid organization, and practical problem-solving to keep work moving.
  • Hands-on Leader: Leads from the floor, stays accessible to the team, and maintains a steady, hands-on presence.
  • Team Player: Works well with others, values teamwork, and stays focused and flexible as priorities shift.
  • Computer Skills: Uses ERP systems and Microsoft Office 365 comfortably in daily operations.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and spend extended time walking, standing, bending, and kneeling on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of plant performance and oversee all aspects of production management — keeping safety, quality, flow, and costs moving in the right direction.
  • Lead manufacturing supervisors, team leads, and maintenance with clear direction and steady support.
  • Stay present on the shop floor to make sure daily work runs smoothly.
  • Drive continuous improvement by refining processes to ensure our workflows align seamlessly with Epicor ERP systems.
  • Oversee facility upkeep and large projects, including bringing our new paint and powder system online.
  • Work closely with on-site sales and service so everyone stays aligned.
  • Build up the team by developing skills and preparing people for future opportunities.
  • Handle personnel issues with fairness, clarity, and support from HR.
