Unit Ambassador - Training and development - SUPPLEMENTAL VARYING SHIFTS
About The Position
QUALIFICATIONS Required : Willing to work varied hours with flexible schedules; possess good communication skills. Must be enrolled as a junior or senior in a local high school or equivalent. Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to function as a team member in a multi-task-oriented environment. Maintain and enforce privacy, confidentiality, and respect of patients, family members, and peers. Ability to follow and understand detailed written and verbal instructions. Ability to respond to changes in a fast-paced environment, productively and efficiently. Ability to pay attention to detail. Ability to work with minimum supervision. At least 17 year old but still in high school. TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS Have a full range of body motion by being able to bend, twist, lift, push and pull. Must be able to withstand constant walking and standing up to 6 hours per day. Push/pull hospital equipment. Must be able to function during periods of high environmental stress. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assist with daily cleaning tasks and functions in all patient care and support areas of hospital. Assist with cleaning and maintaining RQI equipment. Assist patient care team with donning and doffing personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Assist with replenishing floor stock and other housekeeping supplies. Assist with clerical/secretarial support to departments as needed throughout the hospital. Support the dietary department with patient meal pass as needed. Assist the Environmental Services department with patient room cleaning as necessary. Promote a positive work environment by taking personal responsibility for establishing good working relationships with co-workers. Demonstrate professionalism during all levels of interaction with patients, medical staff, colleagues, and patient families. Assist IS with replacing equipment. Assist with transporting patients and their belongings. MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs other duties as assigned.
