Underwriting Services Associate HDI Global Insurance Company is a commercial property and casualty insurer headquartered in Chicago, IL. Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Services Associate to join our Underwriting Services Team. This entry-level role plays a critical part in supporting the underwriting process across various lines of business. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, thrives in a team environment, and demonstrates a strong commitment to data accuracy and service excellence.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
Nice To Haves
- Previous internship or experience in insurance, underwriting, or data entry preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter underwriting data into internal systems for both new and renewal business.
- Assist with premium allocation and invoicing tasks.
- Issue policy documentation including policies, endorsements, and cancellations in accordance with service standards.
- Perform final policy checks and ensure premium data is accurately recorded.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned by the Underwriting Services Team Leader.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members, as needed.
