As an Underwriter IV within PNC's Small Business Banking organization, you will be based remotely. This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC. If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. The Underwriter IV works independently with little or no oversight, exercising exception and elevated approval authority. This role involves preparing offerings for all types of transactions at any level of complexity or in management of a portfolio as assigned, and interacting with internal/external customers. The Underwriter IV provides recommendations for credit structuring, serves as a subject matter expert for certain asset classes, and acts as a coach, work lead, and trainer for the group. They use independent judgment to identify risks and mitigants, prepare offerings and/or scorecards (such as risk ratings) by analyzing credit, collateral strength, and financial worthiness of loan/transaction parties. The position also involves performing ongoing credit risk management for an assigned portfolio, coaching and/or reviewing the work of other underwriters, and filling in for a manager as required. They contact internal/external customers and other parties to gather information and clarify inconsistencies, perform pre-approval and post-approval activities, identify and confirm external regulatory requirements, and ensure internal policies and procedures are followed. The Underwriter IV makes recommendations on credit decisions or makes credit decisions directly, as appropriate. Requirements
