About The Position

Conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Control access and egress. Monitor CCTV and alarm systems. Compose reports. Deter criminal activity and misconduct. Perform other duties as specified in post orders. Qualifications: Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers Be at least 18 years old or minimum age required by the State Be able to work flexible schedules Have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) Have access to reliable transportation Be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, polygraph and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks (if applicable) Ability to provide high quality customer service at various social levels and across diverse cultures Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form Ability to be an effective team member and to work independently Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports Ability to successfully complete all training required for the position Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and challenging individuals Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others Frequent sitting, standing and walking that may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain and occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds May require driving vehicle for long periods of time in the performance of duties Depending upon assignment may be exposed to inclement weather Driving record must meet company and/or insurance standards Maintain a State issued concealed firearm permit Not use illegal drugs. You must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment). Be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if you were in the military EOE M/F/D/V

Nice To Haves
