About The Position

This is a Full Time opportunity for an Ultrasound Tech at Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) in Florence, SC. The role involves operating ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. The Ultrasound Tech performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Responsibilities also include recording test results, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and ordering supplies. The position requires reviewing physician requisition orders and instructions concerning patient preparation for ultrasound procedures. For OB/GYN patients, the tech may communicate patient condition status to the nursing team pre and post procedure and performs ultrasound imaging for fetal diagnosis and anomaly detection for high-risk indications. The scheduled weekly hours are 40, working Days/Monday - Friday with Friday being a half-day. The position may require some overtime and on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound program
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or ARDMS registered, or registry eligible/obtained within one year of hire
  • CPR certification required

  • 3-5 years of experience in US preferred
