About The Position

The MRI Imaging Supervisor at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center performs all radiology procedures in accordance with ACR, ARRT, state regulations, and departmental policies, under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Director. This role requires highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment for examinations and the ability to perform the duties of a registered technologist. The supervisor is also responsible for supervising Ancillary personnel, radiology students, and technologists. The position is expected to dedicate 80% of time to patient services and 20% to supervisory and regulatory tasks, demonstrating expertise in patient care for all patient demographics. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved, accredited A.R.R.T. program
  • Two years in Radiology required
  • Demonstrated ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment and current dynamic health care climate
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, design, implement and evaluate one’s own work and and to work independently with minimal observation or supervision
  • Human relations skills including the demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to work collaboratively with coworkers of diverse cultures, educational backgrounds, and experience
  • Political process skills including the ability to build partnerships with physicians and others
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public
  • Ability to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when little or no directions are given
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to function effectively in fast-paced environment with multiple demands/deadlines
  • Emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress
  • Ability to plan and organize
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & other applicable modalities
  • Licensed as a radiologic technologist by the SCRQSA
  • CPR certification required
