About The Position

Among the Franciscan Health team, we have the Ultrasound Intern. The Ultrasound Intern assists the Ultrasound Technologist in performing standard ultrasound procedures on designated parts of the body. They perform these duties as indicated by physician orders. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with direct supervision. Corroborate order and patient’s clinical history. Select and operate ultrasound equipment for best images. Evaluate images for technical quality and patient identification. Keep rooms clean and organized, and ensure equipment is clean, stocked, and disinfected. Complete assigned tasks and support shared departmental goals. Facilitate the maintenance of own clinical competencies, and keeps current with all assigned learning compass modules.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an ultrasound program Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with direct supervision.
